Alvotech is proud to announce Richard Davies as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Richard has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. He is a senior commercial leader in the life-sciences and healthcare sectors with global expertise in all aspects of sales and marketing.
In parallel to acting as Chairman of the Board, Richard is the current Chief Executive Officer of Bonesupport, a company specialized in bone substitute technology for Orthopedic use. Richard previously worked for 4 years at Hospira Inc. as SVP and Chief Commercial Officer, where he played a leading role in ensuring the company’s growth, globalization and modernization. Prior to Hospira, Richard spent 9 years at Amgen Inc. in various senior positions, including accountability for the revenue generation for a major US product, regional responsibility in Australia and New Zealand, as well as building start-up operations in many countries. He played a leading role in increasing company sales and profitability. Before Amgen, Richard served in general management roles at Eli Lilly.
Richard has a B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from Portsmouth University and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
