Joseph E. McClellan

Joseph E. McClellan has served as Alvotech's Chief Scientific Officer since October 2019 and as Chief Operating Officer since November 2025. Prior to joining Alvotech, Mr. McClellan served for over 17 years in various roles at Pfizer Inc., including as Global Head of Biosimilars Development and Medicine/Asset Team Leader of IXIFI (biosimilar infliximab). Mr. McClellan holds a PhD degree in Chemistry, with a focus in Analytical Chemistry and Mass Spectrometry, from the University of Florida, and he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Mass Spectrometry and Analytical Biochemistry at the Boston University School of Medicine.
