Róbert Wessman is the founder and has served as Executive Chairman since January 2019. He is also Chairman of Alvogen and Lotus Pharmaceuticals and serves as a board member at Fuji Pharma Co. Ltd. Prior to founding Alvotech (in 2013) and Alvogen (in 2009), Mr. Wessman as CEO led Actavis from 1999 - 2008, transforming it into a leading global generics company. After founding Alvogen, he transformed it into one of the top 15 global generics companies, while serving as CEO and Chairman. Mr. Wessman is also founding partner of the Aztiq Group. He has a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Iceland.
